German player picks up permanent permit for LNG terminal with FSRU duo

The German company Deutsche ReGas, a private operator of liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminals, has received a permanent permit for its terminal in Mukran, located on the Baltic Sea in northern Germany. The terminal features two floating FSRU units that receive LNG and regasify it, delivering gas directly into the German network. Floating terminals are flexible and can be brought into operation much faster than onshore facilities. The terminal already supplies millions of households and is expected to become one of the most powerful floating LNG terminals in Europe.
